We talked about his impact on both sides of the ball, his fit in the Bulls frontcourt, and how he will help lead the Bulls this upcoming season. Jack discusses Michael Jordan's first retirement, the Bulls' numerous attempts to trade Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson's relationship with Jordan and Pippen, the biggest differences between the 91-93 and 96-98 Bulls dynasties, and much more.

Mark Karantzoulis of BullsHQ joined us to discuss Lauri Markkanen's 2018-19 season, the improvements he can make going forward, and the chances of a breakout in his third season. We also discussed the NBA's Rookie Survey and the chances of Coby White making an All-Rookie team.

This week we reviewed the midseason acquisition of Otto Porter Jr. We discussed how Porter was able to make an impact with the team and if he still has upside remaining in his development. We also discussed Porter's place in the Bulls core and the lengths the team would go to re-sign him following an impactful season. We wrapped this week's episode with a discussion of the NBA schedule release and the games we're looking forward to this season.

The Next Step

This week we focused on Zach LaVine's 2018-19 season. We started with a discussion about the perception of LaVine and wondered if he's a polarizing player. We talked about his improved offense, the improvements he needs to make defensively, and his overall approach to his improvements in the offseason. We also discussed LaVine's contract and why his salary has become a bargain for the Bulls. We also had reactions to Carmelo Anthony's ESPN interview where he discussed his decision to spurn the Bulls in free agency.
