We continued our praise of Zach LaVine's improvement and explained why his style of play can be sustained throughout the season. We also talked Cameron Payne and what his surprise performance could mean for the team's PG situation if he builds off this game. We discussed Wendell Carter Jr's performance so far and what he can improve on going forward to catch up to the speed of the NBA. Edward and Salim discussed the game, the Bulls frequently bad defensive habits and why it's troubling that the team continues to rely heavily on their offense to win games. They also continued to praise Zach LaVine's play following his 30-point night. They also talked about Bobby Portis and his contract negotiations and what the gap in talks represents for Portis and the Bulls next summer. The guys also went around the league and talked about the things that stuck out for them in the first few days of the regular season. The Bulls preseason ended Friday in a loss to the Denver Nuggets. We talked about the game and reviewed the team's overall preseason. Fred Hoiberg shuffled the team's starting lineup and we talked about how Jabari Parker is handling his new bench role and why Wendell Carter Jr. has officially earned his starting job. We also continue to be impressed with Zach LaVine's play and discussed what he's doing differently on offense and defense. We also discussed whether Bobby Portis has solidified himself as a long-term piece with the team and the lengths the Bulls will go to keep him around. We also talked Jimmy Butler, Luka Doncic and various things from around the NBA.

The Chicago Bulls defensive woes continued in a 110-104 loss to the Charlotte Hornets Monday. Edward and Salim discussed whether the Bulls defensive issues can be fixed, and if they'll have enough offensive to counter it going forward. They also talked about Jabari Parker's rough preseason and wondered if he's pressing too much in preseason. The guys had some praise for Zach LaVine and discussed whether LaVine could take on more offensive responsibility if he continues his play into the regular season. They also previewed the Bulls final two preseason games against the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets.
